  • I LOVED these stories when I was younger. The illustrations were my favorite part. Wish they hadn`t changed them…

  • I love reading these stories, they have a mix of unusual (original), spine-chilling as well as humorous stories, it really blends the book these stories came from together, also thank you so much SFK for providing/making these stories available online and easy to access!

  • These books were all the rage in elementary school. This section makes me want to see if our middle school had the books too. Brings back memories

there’s a more scary version of that story name” the girl in the photograph”, It’s actually much better than this one…

  • My bro used to borrow these from the library :) I loved reading them but I would never sleep at night :/

  • Here’s a story for ya:
Jim, a trucker, was driving down a dark road. The radio was saying, “Attention please. We have been told of numerous disappearances around Foothill Woods.” Jim was driving right next to Foothill Woods.
All of the sudden, he saw a women on the road. Jim slammed the brakes and barely managed to stop the truck in time. He got out of the truck and said to the women,”Whew, I’m so sorry. Almost had a really nasty situation there.”
The women turned and stared at him and said,”52…. 52…. 52…. 52,” in a emotionless voice. Jim noticed that her shirt also says 52.
    “What?” Jim asked.
    “52…. 52…. 52…. 52,” the women said.
“Ummmm, you better get off this road. It’s really late and there have been disappearances around Foothill Woods. Do you need a ride?” Jim offered.
    “52…. 52…. 52…. 52,” the women continued.
“I’ll get going then,” Jim said.
As soon as Jim opened the truck door, a monstrous bear-looking thing appeared out of the bushes. It also had 52 on its face. It tackled Jim to the ground and started clawing at his face. Jim was screaming and calling for help. The beast shut Jim up by slicing his throat and devouring it. The women came over and hit the beast. The beast whimpered and dashed back into the bushes. The women took some of Jim’s blood and drew “53” on her shirt…
