1. Wisconsin Death Trip (1999)

This movie recounts a series of bizarre incidents that occurred in the small city of Black River Falls in the late 1800s. The town of Black River Falls seems gripped by some peculiar malaise and the news is dominated by bizarre tales of madness, eccentricity and violence amongst the local population. This film eerily recounts true tales of tragedy, murder and mayhem over a string of beautiful black and white photos.

2. Killer Legends (2014)

This documentary sets out to find the truth behind scary urban legends like The Candyman, The Babysitter, The Hook and The Clown Statue. Killer Legends is entertaining and endlessly creepy movie.

3. The Bridge

A documentary about people committing suicide by jumping off the golden gate bridge. WARNING: You may not want to watch this because it contains real footage of people jumping to their deaths.

4. My Amityville Horror (2013)

For the first time in 35 years, Daniel Lutz recounts his version of the infamous Amityville haunting that terrified his family in 1975.

5. Child of Rage

This is one of the most shocking and disturbing documentaries ever made for television. It tells the story of an abused little girl named Beth Thomas who was disgnosed as a psychopath. Thankfully, after going through therapy, she grew up to be a normal person. Creepiest bit: When she tells her therapist she wants to kill her parents and her little brother. WARNING: You may not want to watch this because of the subject matter.

6. Cropsey

This is a chilling documentary about a serial killer named Andre Rand who murdered mentally disabled people. It tries to claim that the Cropsey urban legend is based on Rand, but that’s not true. The Cropsey legend has been around since the 1950s and started as a campfire story told in Jewish Summer camps in New York.

7. VICE Interview with a Cannibal

Issei Sagawa is a Japanese cannibal. 30 years ago, he killed a woman in France and ate her. Due to a legal technicality, he only spent two years in prison and is now on the loose. WARNING: You may not want to watch this because of the subject matter.

8. Of Dolls and Murder (2012)

Years ago, a woman recreated real crime scenes using dolls. These creepy doll houses were used to help train detectives and are known as The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death. It’s actually incredibly eerie to see dolls being murdered in various ways.

9. VICE Suicide Forest in Japan

This deals with the infamous Aokigahara forest in Japan which is also known as the Suicide Forest because every year, 50 to 100 Japanese people go there to take their own lives. Seriously creepy and disturbing.

11. Albert Fish: In Sin He Found Salvation (2007)

This is the horrific true story of an old man who was a serial killer and a cannibal. He lured countless children to their deaths. WARNING: You may not want to watch this because of the subject matter.

11. Snuff: A Documentary About Killing on Camera (2008)

Do these type of movies actually exist? This documentary interviews FBI Profilers and Film Historians to find out. WARNING: You may not want to watch this because of the subject matter.

12. The Act of Killing

This film interviews some of the men who formed death squads in Indonesia in the 1960s when almost half a million people were killed. They are interviewed about their memories and what it felt like to take a human life.

13. Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles

Since the 1980s, hundreds of cryptic messages have been discovered spelled out in tiles embedded in the street. They all have to do with some plot to ressurect the dead on planet jupiter. Who put them there? Nobody knows. What does it all mean? Nobody knows. Is it really really creepy? Of course.
