Scary Things found on Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Street View.

1. Dead Body

This image of a dock in Beatrixpark, The Netherlands set off a media panic when people thought it was someone dragging a dead body and leaving a bloody trail behind it. However, it turned out to have a mch more innocent explanation. That’s actually a trail of water left by a wet dog dragging itself along the wooden dock. Phew!

2. Demon

People thought this image of an emaciated figure standing on a balcony in Nancy, France was a real live demon. It’s most likely a tiki statue. Because of all the commotion, Google blurred out the image, leading to many conspiracy theories.

3. Horse Boy

A man standing in the street in Aberdeen, UK, minding his own business… Oh and he’s also wearing a horse mask.

4. Angel

This scary woman climbing the wall of this building in Brazil is actually some kind of angel decoration.

5. Pink Bunny Rabbit

A giant pink bunny rabbit near Artesina in Italy. The rabbit is named Hase and it was made by a group of artists who dumped it in the hills of Italy for unknown reasons. It is slowly rotting and decomposing.

6. Pigeon People

The dreaded pigeon people of Tamagawa-josui sidewalk in Tokyo, Japan. Actually, a bunch of Japanese people must have known when the Google car was passing by, so they decided to have a little fun. Pigeon role-playing is apparently a thing in Japan.

7. Pentagram

There is a giant pentagram on the shore of the Upper Tobol Reservoir in Kazakhstan. No, it wasn’t constructed by devil worshippers. It’s actually a park. During communist times, it was laid out in the shape of a star, a symbol of the Soviet Union. Now it is abandoned.

8. Skull Silo

This is actually a popular Halloween attraction called Frightland in Middletown, Delaware, USA. As if this isn’t creepy enough, the skull silo is outfitted with a giant Santa Claus beard in later seasons.

9. Gas Mask

Just a normal guy crouching in the bushes of a park in Moscow, Russia, wearing a gas mask… Nothing to see here… Everything’s fine… Move along, people…

10. Dead Girl

People flew into a panic when a dead girl was spotted in Worcester, UK on Google Maps. It was actually a 9-year old girl named Azura Beebeejaun who was playing with her friend and fell over. She thought it would be funny to pretend to be dead as a prank.

11. Ghost Town

New Baltimore, New York looks like it’s straight out af the horror game Silent Hill. Probably some corrupted images got uploaded to Google’s servers.

12. Dead Man Walking

A Glitch in the Matrix in Pompertuzat France. Oh look, there’s an old man walking down the street. And look, there he is following himself.

13. Escaped Prisoner

People thought this was an excaped convict on the run, but it’s really a community worker in South Africa.

14. Masked Pepole

A bunch of kids or teenagers in Los Hoyos, Mexico wearing scary masks.
