Scary For Kids

Blue Face

The Blue Face is a scary story for children about a young girl whose father gives her a strict warning after her mother dies. It is based on an urban legend from Russia.

Blue Face

Once, there was a young girl who lived with her Dad and her little brother. Her mother had recently died and the family was still grieving.

The father had to go to work, which meant the girl had to stay in the house and take care of her little brother.

As he was leaving, her father warned her not open the door to anyone, especially if it was a man with a blue face.

Later that day, while her Dad was at work, there was a knock at the door. Forgetting what her father had said, the girl opened the door and saw a man standing outside.

The man was red in the face.

“What do you want?” asked the girl.

“Young girl, let me in,” said the man. “I can bring your mother back to life, but in return, you must give me your brother.”

The girl refused and shut the door in the man’s face.

A few hours later, there was another knock on the door. When the girl opened it, she saw a man with a purple face standing on the threshold.

“Young girl, let me in,” said the man. “I can bring your mother back to life, but in return, I will take your father.”

The girl refused and slammed the door shut.

That evening, when her father returned from work, the girl told him that a man with a red face came to the door, followed by a man with a purple face.

Her father became very angry and said, “I thought I told you not to open the door to anyone.”

The next day, as the father was leaving for work, he warned her again not open the door to anyone, especially if it was a man with a blue face.

A few hours after her father had gone, there was another knock at the door. The girl looked through the peephole in the door and saw a man with a blue face standing there.

“Young girl, let me in,” said the man. “I can bring your mother back to life and I will not take your brother or your father.”

The girl was delighted and opened the door.

The blue-faced man came in and said:

“…but I’ll take you!”

In the evening, when the father returned home, he saw the front door was standing open and there was a large blue spot on the floor. The girl and her little brother were missing.

The Dad took a can of kerosene and poured it on blue spot. Then he lit a match and set it on fire. The spot immediately broke out in a blue flame and he heard terrible cries of pain.

The house burned down and the girl’s father bought a train ticket and permanently moved to another city in Russia.

A Ghost is a spirit of someone who has died and is earth bound. This story is about a ghost that chased four teenage boys.

It happened long ago, even before the white man came. The plains Indians buried there dead by placing the body on a scaffold.

it was customary to bury the person with their most valueble possessions . A man had died and he was buried their in the traditional way of the plains Indians. At the same time the burial was taking place, there was a celebration going on about eight miles away. At the celebration there were four teenage boys .the oldest boy about sixteen and his three friends were younger.

Although they were having a good time at celebration the oldest boy wanted to leave and ride out to the burial grounds. The boy was curious about the dead man and what kind of belongings he was buried with . He really didn’t want to go alone but he knew his friends would never agree to go there with him.It was a scary place and a long ride to get home before dark. He decided to make up a story about going hunting he knew his friends would leave the celebration for that.

They all like to hunt and he knew they would be anxious to go along. The boys left the celebration and rode their horses toward the burial ground.the oldest boy did not tell them where they were going.he just told them they would hunt something good in a secret place. So the boys rode along and did not ask any question. They took their time and only made their horses walk. Soon they arrived at the burial grounds. The boys were surprised their had tricked them into going there the younger boys didn’t like being there they became scared and wanted to leave. The oldest boy said” We have come this far lets look at the dead man and see what kind of valuables he has.” the younger boy protested “We better leave now or it will be dark before we get home and we will be in trouble the oldest boy paid no attention and began to climb up on to the scaffold where the dead man was lying he was surprised to see all the valuables belonging to the dead man and had decided to take them for himself and for his friends.

He than gave each of his friends some of the dead mans belongings. The boys were scared and didn’t want to keep them . the oldest boy said” The man is dead and has no use for them.Go ahead and keep them. ” The older boy was about to climb down when he saw the dead man’s sun dance whistle around his neck he decided to keep for himself and put around his own neck.

The younger boys were scared and anxious to leave. They were already on there horses and called up oldest boy to hurry up the older boy climbed down, got on his horse, and they all started back to celebration. They had only rode a short distance when on of the boys felt very nervous and uneasy. He felt like someone was watching them he nervously looked back and was terrified at what he saw the deadman was climbing down of scaffold. He shouted to the others,”Look!Look!” When the other boys looked back they also saw the dead man climbing down from the scaffold they were all shaking and scared and wanted to get away as fast as they could.the dead man was heading straight for them.

The boys made their horses go faster but it didn’t help. No matter how fast they went the deadman was getting closer. they could not get away.Thay ran their horses hard but it was no use.the dead man was gaining. One of the boys yelled”He wants his things. Give them back!”The boys begun throwing his belongings onto the ground.

When the dead man arrived at the spot where the boys had thrown his belongings he just stopped and looked at them.He started after them again even faster. He was getting closer and closer. The older boy realized he still had his Sundance Whistle around his neck. He threw it down so hard it broke into many pieces when the dead man got to the spot where the oldest boy threw his whistle he stopped and picked up all the pieces. He turned around and slowly walked back toward the burial ground.

The boys were exhausted and so were their horses .Their hearts were still pounding but they felt safe and could continue back to celebration at a slower pace. It had been a long and frightening day for all the boys. Since it was getting late they decided to go straight home. When the boys arrived at home they went their separate ways to their own tepees and went to bed. During the night the old boy wake up.he heard strange sounds. It sounded like people crying and praying. He was so tired he fell back to sleep. He didn’t wake up again untill morning. When he saw his parents he knew something was wrong. His parents told him”One of your friend died during night”He wondered if it had something to do with taking the things from the deadman that didn’t belong to them.

The following night he heard the sounds again .people were crying and praying. In the morning his parents told him ,”Another one of your friends has died during the night.”The boy was very scared now that two of his friends were dead. On the third night it happened again.

Sounds of people crying and praying in the night and the news in the morning that another friend died. The boy was scared because he knew he would be next. He knew te deadman’s spirit was getting even with him for taking his things. Tonight would be his night to die.

As the boy got ready for bed he prepared himself for his own death he put on his good buckskin clothes and his best moccasins. He didn’t think anything or anyone could help him now. He thought of painting his face red to keep away the bad spirits but it seems too late even for that. He didn’t want to die so decided to use the red paint anyway. It was worth a try. As he was putting the paint on he had many thoughts. He felt he was to blame for his friends deaths. How wrong he had been to take the things that didn’t belong to him. He was sad and sorry for what he had done. When the sun rose next morning the boy’s father shook him wake him up. when the boy woke up his father said ,”why are you wearing your good buckskin clothes and your best moccasins”? The boy was surprised to be alive but he was very glad.

He told his father about the day he and his friends left the celebration to visit the burial ground.”I tricked my friends into going with me.when we got there we took many of dead man’s belongings,”He said. He told his father how the deadman had chased them.It didn’t matter how fast the boys made their horses run the deadman continued to follow them. The boy described how his friends had thrown the deadmans belonging’s onto the ground but he still followed them.

The boy said,” I finally realized the sundance whistle I had taken from him was still around my neck. I threw it to the ground and than deadman finally stopped chasing us”. The boys father told him the reason he didn’t die was because he painted his face red.”The deadman’s spirit had come for you but when he saw the red paint he knew you were sorry and had learned about feelings and respect for others. The dead man let you live so you could tell the story to others,”said the boy’s father. The young man learned a valuable lesson. This story has been told many times to remind everyone that they must always respect the people who have died and as well as to respect their possessions.
My grandma told me some very interesting, scary and unbelievable stories which happened in their village avery long time ago. It was the time when very few people knew about paranormal phenomena and mystic events around them. Even some scientists and paranormal specialists of that time investigating the area of this village were horrified.

The first story is about a mystic house in the middle of the village. Every day this house frightened all inhabitants and made a force to leave the village. The owner of this house was an old man who disappeared long time ago in the basement of the house. Locals were calling this basement “live hell”. His family living in this house left the village too and now it was the attractive place for paranormal investigators and curious local children.

After being in the basement children were starting howl like wolves and didn’t recognize what was going on around them and the mature ones after visiting there became bald.

In most cases people were dying from various types of cancer or other diseases. Some people told that they see there interpretations of other world through the wall. Another story is about an old fisherman. He lived near a river with real mermaids.

It’s really unbelievable but the photographs were the evidence of this story. Every night he was fishing with his beautiful mermaids and had fun with them and in the mornings disappear under river with them. Some people even saw his mermaid children. In most houses of the village was obvious paranormal phenomena.

All things in the houses were flying all around and sometimes even knives killed some people. But one day my grandma told me the story which happened with her in that strange and mystic village.

She was only ten years old and the third kid in the family. There was a late and dark night and her family were still some miles from home. Suddenly the car stopped. Everybody were scared and decided to stay in the car. Some hours later they decided to get out from the car but the car doors didn’t open. Scared and frightened they slept in the car till morning.

In the morning when they woke up they were in other end of the village near the local lake. They got out from the car and walked some kilometers by foot but they could not find the way out. It seemed they were in the trapped. They could see only the endless lake and everything all around was dead. They had nothing to eat and could drink only water from lake.

They were trapped there for about a week without food but then one morning they woke up in their house and in their beds. The car was outside and everything was in its place. Afterwards my grandma asked their neighbors how many days they were absent. She was surprised because everyone saw them while they were away and no one believed in their strange story. In a short period a rumour flew around the village that all the members of my grandma’s family became mad.

Once, there were two girls named Mary and Karen having a sleepover. It was being held at Karen’s house because her parents were out of town. In fact, every time Karen’s parents went out of town, they had a sleepover because Karen was afraid to stay by herself. It was Halloween and once again, Karen’s parents were out of town. When Mary rang the doorbell, Karen answered wearing a beautiful silk nightgown. It was blood-red and had a furry collar. Mary envied Karen for having that nightgown. They began to watch some scary movies. All of the sudden, Mary heard a soft “thump, thump, thump, thump.” She was frightened and looked at Karen, who didn’t seem to notice. As the night progressed, Mary heard the thumping noise intermittently and it seemed to be growing nearer. When the noise sounded from right behind them, the electricity and lights went out. Mary and Karen ran screaming, up to the second floor, into Karen’s room. It was now midnight and the two girls were scared to death.Suddenly, Karen got up and ran out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Mary sat there for what seemed like an eternity. After a long silence, she heard the thumping noise again. It seemed to be coming up the stairs, getting louder and louder. Thump, Thump THUMP, THUMP, THUMP! Then, it stopped. Mary thought she heard someone standing on the other side of the door and bravely got up and opened it.Mary couldn’t see a thing, so she reached out her arm and felt Karen’s soft silk nightgown. Then, she reached up to feel her favorite part of the nightgown, the furry collar. When she reached higher, there was nothing but a bloody stump!! When the lights came on, she discovered that her poor friend had been decapitated! The neighbors heard her screaming at the top of her lungs and called the police. When the police arrived, they found Karen’s dead body, and Mary, with snow-white hair, completely insane!!!

hey i don’t know if this will scare you but i was watching a documentary on a private girls school (can’t remember where) that is haunted.

about 30-40 years ago a massive fire broke out in the school. One girl got trapped in her room (either on the top floor or second top floor) and she unfortunately passed away.
When the school was finally rebuilt and reopen a couple of years later, girls would report haunting in the room and hallway where this girl had died.
Girls would report seeing a girl in a white nightgown in the hallway and bathroom.
One girl said that she was sleeping on the top bunk and awoke in the middle of the night to find a girl in a white nightgown staring right at her and disappeared when she screamed.
What haunts this place more than anything is the door in the room this girl died in.
I remember them saying that obviously the door was burnt in the fire, but when they replaced it with a brand new door, the next day an image of a girl screaming with flames around her appeard on the door. (they showed you the door in the documentary)

the girls got so freaked out that they replaced that door with a new one and yet the next day the same image appeared. The principal replaced the door about 4 times i think and yet the same image appereared. They just decided to leave the door but all the girls refused to stay in the room.

  • Drip, Drip, Drip

One night a young girl, Lily Foster, is left alone for the night, in her country house, while her parents drove out to town for a party. This was fine with Lily, especially since she had her faithful dog, Scout, protecting her throught the night. She made herself something to eat, and sat down at the kitchen table. Turning on the radio to her favorite station, she was surprised to hear a news bulleten declaring that an avenged murderer was on the loose. It advised that people secure all windows and doors as a safety precaution. With her dog by her side, the young girl locked the front and back doors. She went from window to window, and locked each of them one at a time. She reassured herself that she would be fine with her trusty dog, and that her parents would be home shortly, anyway. So, Lily had a pleasant, peaceful evening, and finally decided around eleven o’clock that it was time for bed. She climbed the stairs to her bedroom, and slid under the big, warm blanket on her bed. Before closing her eyes, reached her hand down under the bed, and allowed her dog to lick it- she did this every night, because it comforted her. A short while later she awoke to the sound of a scratching noise at her bedrooom window. She eyed the window, and reminded herself that the whole house was locked and she was safe. She stuck her hand under her bed and felt her dog’s slobbery tongue cross over the palm of her hand. She sighed and went back to sleep. An hour or so later she sat up in bed…She had heard footsteps in the hallway, and crept out of bed to see if it was possibly just her parents returning from their party. Seeing nothing, she returned to bed. As she was about to stick her hand under the bed, she heard a drip, drip, drip, followed by some footsteps. She walked downstairs into the kitchen and secured the the taps. That surely wasn’t the source of the drip. She crept upstairs and climbed into bed. “This is silly,” she told herself “I’m probably just imagining things.” She stuck her hand under the bed, and felt the dog lick her hand. An hour later she awoke again. A little mad at this point, she jumped out of bed. The dripping wasn’t coming from the kitchen so it must be from the bathroom. She crept along the side of the hallway, and walked into the bathroom. She groped along the side of the wall with her left hand, looking for the light switch. She flicked the light on and gasped. There, hanging from the shower rod was Scout-skinned-a pool of blood had formed on the bathroom tile with a continuous ‘drip, drip, drip’ as the blood from the dog hit the ground. Something on the wall caught her eye; written on the wall was a message in blood…”Humans can lick too.”

One cold winter night, sixteen year old Kelly Sanders was home alone, as her parents had gone out to a dinner party at a friend’s house. It had been snowing all afternoon, but had just recently stopped. After studying for a while, she decides to relax a little- after all, she finally had the house to herself. She makes some popcorn, gets a nice warm, fuzzy blanket, and snuggles under it to watch one of her favorite movies. In their lounge room, the television is positioned a few feet in front of the glass sliding door that leads to the patio and backyard. By midnight, Kelly’s parents are still not home, and she begins to feel uneasy, but refuses to call them, for risk of sounding like she couldn’t take care of herself. Suddenly, her eye catches a glint of light from behind the TV, and right there, just outside the glass door, was a crazy-eyed man, grinning maliciously at her, and holding a long, narrow blade in his left hand. Terrified, the girl panics, pulls the blanket up over her head and grabs the cordless phone by her side. Kelly calls the police, and as luck would have it, there was a patrol car less than a block from her house. In a matter of seconds, two officers are on the scene and Kelly tells them about the armed man staring through the glass. The first officer opens the sliding door and looks around the area. After a few moments, she turns and explains to Kelly that there couldn’t have been anyone standing out there, as there would have been footprints in the snow. The second officertells her that she is probably just tired and her imagination was playing tricks on her. He beckoned at the TV where the horror movie she had been watching was still playing. “Stuff like that didn’t help matters, either,” he said smiling. Kelly smiled too, more at her own immaturity than the officer’s remark, still a little shaken. As the police are about to leave, the male officer stops and looks behind the sofa that Kelly had been sitting on. His jaw drops and eyes widen in shock. Kelly and the other officer notice his reaction and follow his gaze; they both gasp. There were wet footprints and a discarded knife on the carpet behind the couch. Kelly hadn’t seen the man outside he door; she’d seen his reflection when he was standing behind her.

    And finally:

    Arabella

A little girl, named Penny Warren, was given a small doll by her parents. The doll was a gift from an ancient great aunt who had now passed on. Penny was instantly unnnerved by the doll, which had nasty little black eyes that seemed to follow her around the room and a sinister grin on her face. Nevertheless, Penny had to accept the doll, as she was well brought up and didn’t want to upset her parents by refusing to take it. Her parents told her that the doll’s name was Arabella, which made Penny even more afraid of it; it seemed to make it more human. Even so, it was just a doll, barely reaching above her knee, so to put her mind at rest, she hid Arabella into the little cupboard under the stairs, under some boxes where her parents wouldn’t see her. It wasn’t until a few nights later, when Penny was lying in bed, that she heard a noise…a shuffling sound that went on for about five minutes. Then, a brief dragging noise and finally, a scuttling like light footsteps running very fast. Penny was paralyzed with fear, her knuckles turning white from clutching her blanket. Then, she heard a voice – soft and eerily childlike – quiet enough not to wake her parents. Penny always slept with the door open and the lamp in the hall on, as she was still a little scared of the dark. Therefore, she could hear more through her open door. Penny heard the voice say “Penny, I’m on the first step”…And then a loud scrabbling again, as whatever was speakingapparently turned tail and returned to wherever it had come from. The little girl didn’t sleep a wink that night, but laid in fear until the break of dawn when her mother got her up for school and when she tried to explain what had happened, her parents passed it off as “just a dream”. The next night, Penny fought against sleep, but eventually drifted off, only to be woken again by the sinister voice: “Penny, I’m on the fifth step” Penny was crying by now, and again, she didn’t sleep that night. The next night, Penny decided to shut her bedroom door and reluctantly slept without the light on. Just as she was about to doze, Penny heard the noise, and then the voice: “Penny, I’m on the top step…” Penny knew that her door was closed, but she was still terribly afraid. Her heart pounding, she slowly go up to investigate; she screamed. Penny’s parents found her body at the bottom of the stairs. They guessed she was on her way to the bathroom without switching on the hall light and had fallen down the stairs, breaking her neck. Arabella, the favorite family doll, was found beside her body – smiling.

    Happy reading!

  • Well, this story is more creepy then scary, but I’ll tell you anyway.
One day, this man rents a house and moves in. He found a hole in the wall; he was about to call the landowner to complain, but he looked outside of the hole, which showed the house across the street, and he saw a pretty girl in a night gown with brown hair dancing outside. He decided against calling the landlord, because he wanted to continue looking through the hole to watch the pretty girl dancing. For the next few days, he kept on looking through the hole to spy on the girl, who was dancing in the night gown every day. Then, one day he looked through the hole, again, but didn’t see the girl dancing; he just saw a bunch of red. The next day, he looked through the hole, again, but the girl was no longer dancing outside. Finally, he decided to call the landlord to complain about the hole. On the phone, the man asked the landlord, “Who is the girl who lives across the street?” The landlord replied, “Oh, that is my niece. She has brown hair, she always wears a night gown, and she has red eyes.” The girl had been looking through the hole that day.

Here is a story that really is scary.
A woman had a four-year-old daughter named Jaime who you would not exactly call…normal. Jaime’s classmates teased her for that. One day, Jaime came home crying, so the woman decided to buy her daughter a gift. She drove down to the dollar store, and looked around. She found a doll with four fingers, and she knew that Jaime would love it. She went to the cash register to pay for it. “Sorry, ma’am, but I can’t sell you this doll,” the cashier said. “Oh, please, my daughter will love it!” “Nope, sorry.” “What if I pay you ten dollars?” the lady asked. “No.” “One hundred dollars?” “Sorry.” “A million?” “Well, okay. But you have to promise me one thing.” “What?” she asked. “Don’t leave your daughter alone with the doll at night.” “Okay,” the woman agreed, not planning to actually listen–what would be so bad about leaving her daughter alone with a doll? That night, the woman tucked Jaime into bed, and left the doll with four fingers on the dresser on the other side of the room. She left the room and turned off the light. Suddenly, Jaime heard a small voice from across the room singing, “Jaime, I’m taking one step!” Then she heard a thump on the floor. “Jaime, I’m taking a second step!” the voice sang, again. “Jaime, I’m taking a third step! Jaime, I’m climbing,” the voice sang, sounding a lot closer to her, and Jaime heard some scratching on wood. “Jaime, I’m going to kill you.” The next morning, the woman went into Jaime’s room to find her daughter dead with the four fingered doll sitting on the bed with a knife in her hand.
