The Changeling is based on events that the writer Russell Hunter claimed he experienced while he was living in the Henry Treat Rogers Mansion in Denver, Colorado
George C Scott is a composer living in New York City. After his wife and daughter are killed in a horrible car accident, he decides to go to the country on a winter vacation. He rents a large, eerie and sinister-looking Victorian mansion in Seattle and begins trying to put his life back together.
However, he soon begins to suspect that the house is haunted and eventually, he encounters the sad and pitiful ghost of a young boy who was murdered. The ghost makes its presence known and communicates enough clues to allow him to piece together the solution to the murder mystery.
