Clap Clap is a scary story about a man and woman who get lost in the mountains and come across an old cabin.
One day, a young married couple went hiking in the mountains. As the sun began to set, they realized that they were lost. The wife was getting worried, but her husband tried to calm her down and assured her that they would eventually find their way back to their car. However, after walking for hours, they still had no idea where they were.
It was growing dark and the man and wife were getting desperate. They didn’t have a map or a compass with them and all of the trees looked the same. Just when they were about to give up hope, they came across an old cabin in a clearing.
The cabin looked as if it had seen better days. It was dilapidated and seemed like it hadn’t been used in a long time. Some of the windows were cracked and broken and a lot of the tiles had fallen off the roof. The husband knocked on the front door but there was no response. When he turned the handle, it slowly creaked open.
Inside, they found it was in a bad state of disrepair. There was very little furniture and the floor was covered in a thick layer of dust. As the couple cautiously looked around, they noticed a strange atmosphere and a peculiar musty smell.
The walls were covered from floor to ceiling with graffiti. Written in red paint, the words, “Death! Death! Death! Death! Death!” were repeated over and over again.
The man and woman were unnerved. With a shaking hand, the husband reached out to touch the wall. He was horrified to find that the paint was not yet dry.
The couple were very frightened, but they had nowhere else to go. They knew that the mountain was dangerous at night and there were lots of wild animals prowling the woods. Despite the creepy writing on the walls, they decided to stay the night.
Going upstairs, they found a moth-eaten mattress that was covered in stains. The husband and wife wrapped themselves in an old piece of carpet to keep warm and tried to make themselves as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. They lay down together on the mattress and eventually managed to fall asleep.
Sometime after midnight, the couple were awakened by a strange rustling noise. It sounded like someone or something was moving around outside the shack.
“Did you hear that?” asked his wife. “I think there’s somebody out there.”
Her husband listened for a while, but he didn’t hear anything. He got out of bed and walked over to the window. It was too dark outside to see anything. Opening the window, he stuck his head out.
“Who’s there?” he called nervously.
There was no answer.
He was about to go back to bed when his wife said, “Maybe it’s someone who can’t speak…”
The husband returned to the window and said, “Is there anybody out there? Clap once for YES and twice for NO.”
He strained his ears to listen. The stars twinkled in the night sky. The crickets were chirping loudly.
All of a sudden, he heard a loud CLAP!
The man turned to his wife and said in surprise, “You were right. There’s someone out there.”
He leaned out the window and his eyes scanned the darkness. He couldn’t make out anything in the pitch black.
“Are you the owner of this cabin?” he asked.
CLAP! CLAP!
“Are you a man?”
CLAP! CLAP!
“You’re a woman, then?”
CLAP! CLAP!
“Are you human?”
CLAP! CLAP!
A chill ran down his spine. He swallowed hard and croaked, “Did you come here alone?”
CLAP! CLAP!
“How many are with you? Clap once for each person…”
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!…

@Thestoryteller, many thanx for reading my ending. Glad you liked it. As for your questions,
No, the Unknowns did not knew the couple. They are malevolent, tortured spirits, so they’ll kill anyone they can. So, when they found the couple, they lied to them, they knew that only the wife was available and would pay instant attention, if they said, or rather clapped something catchy. The moment they got chance, they tried to kill her through the sharp stake.
I know they lied, being spirits but I personally would try lie, cheating, candy, anything to kill if I want to kill someone. ;)
And although I did not thought of connecting the couple’s lineage to Hitler, in my story Hitler and most of his followers escaped, it is very possible that one or more of the Nazi soldiers are somehow related to the couple. Maybe great great grand parent or such likes. ;)
Wow @Saliq that is an awesome ending… I was just wondering though, why would the Unknowns want to kill them? Were they somehow related to Hitler or something? ‘Cause they say (clap) that they know who the couple is, but that they have never met them or anything… Just confused, but otherwise, really nice ending.
I took some ideas from your ending @candyheart15712. Hope you won’t mind. ;) .
Guys I’ve made a lot of effort to write that ending. Pls comment your good bad thoughts on it.
and clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap to you clap clap death
I’ve got an alternate ending for this story. Here it goes-
The couple were sacred and sat crouched in a corner. The clapping continued, and the man forgot the count of how many there were. Finally the clapping stopped after what seemed like eternity. The man decided to scavenge the house for any kind of weapons to use against the unknown. While he was searching, he noticed that the writings of death on the wall were dry near the door but were still glistening near a wall. He assumed that whatever wrote it was near that wall recently. Maybe there was a secret way out, but he continued searching. He looked around but found nothing, only some newspapers, and some rotting wood. He was going to the wall when he heard his wife shriek. He ran to her and found her blabbering about something, and crying unconsolably. She had a wound on her cheeks as if some knife had barely bruised her and was pointing towards the door. He remembered that the door was shabby and had holes but now no light was coming through them. It seemed like someone was standing on other side, covering the holes. He dragged her off near the wall and when she calmed down a little, she told him that while he was searching for weapons, she had this conversation.
“Were you human once?”
CLAP!
“Were you killed here?”
CLAP!
“Do you want to kill us too?”
CLAP!
“Why? You don’t even know who we are… *sobs*”
CLAP! CLAP!
” You know who we are?”
CLAP!
” You ever met us?” CLAP! CLAP!
“then how come you know us?”
Just then she heard a creek on the stairs outside the door. She put her head on the floor to see what it was when she did, a sharp small wood stake whizzed just inches away from her head. She immediatly got up but before that another stake whizzed past her and bruised her cheek. The man dragged her towards the wall and began searching for a secret door lock or a hole or something like that when he felt that the wall was quite soft. It seemed like it was not made of wood at all. He gave it a powerful blow and it tumbled down. Immediatly, the cabin was filled with stench of decay and death. Then suddenly, outside the cabin, the unknown started to clap together. CLAP!!! It boomed throught the cabin. CLAP!!! The couple got so desperate that they ventured into that foul smelling room. There inside was a bed, some cooking utensils, a bookshelf with lots of books, a small table with few more books, and a rocking chair that had a rotting corpse on it. Maybe while the husband had teared down the wall, he had hit the chair cause it was swaying to and fro. His wife noticed that there was some blood on its fingers and some blood was oozing out of the place where the heart was supposed to be. The corpse was in such a bad state it wasn’t possible to imagine it had any fluid left in it. Suddenly, the corpse turned its head with a jerk and its eye sockets stared at them. Too shocked to move, the stared on as the corpse got up, and took the book from the table. He wrote something on it, then symboled the man to sit down. The man was reluctant, but when the corpse turned and stared at him, he gave in. One way or other, he thought he was going to die so, he decide to take chance. The corpse gave him a diary, opened at a specific page and then went back to rock in his chair. The man and the wife read the page. It told about a ritual that was performed by Hitler before invading poland. He had brought the Jews he had captured to that part of mountain and using some dark magic books, managed to conjure Satan. He traded souls of those jews for Satan’s assistance, but the ritual was that the souls of virgin humans was needed, something that Hitler had missed to see. The ritual went horribly wrong, and the Unknowns outside are the souls of tormented jews that were sacrificed here.
The diary went on telling how Hitler and most of his followers managed to escape with Satan’s help, but some of his followers got killed by the tormented souls. The only person that was alive at the end was a Nazi guard who wasn’t able to escape. He tried but the spirits who grew very weak in day still retained enough power to stop him from leaving. So he barricaded himself in that cabin that was protected by spells. The diary concluded by telling that in morning, they can escape cause the souls are very weak, but it cautioned them to be quick, because those weak souls are still powerful enough. Just as they finished reading that diary, they realized that the sounds of claps had stopped. They peeked out and saw it was early morning. They waited for full sunshine before dashing out and runing for the foot of hill. They ran hand in hand, and although they were stopped by few fallen trees and vines, they managed to escape the mountain. When they were far away, they turned to take one last look at the mountain when they saw, maybe thousands of people, in black dress, standing near the edge. It was too far to make out their faces, but not too far to see them disappear one by one.
