Cynthia Anderson was a 20-year-old woman who lived in Toledo, Ohio. Her friends called her Cindy. She worked in a lawyers office and everyone who knew her described her as a quiet and popular girl.

The only strange thing about her was that she was plagued by frightening dreams. Every night, she had terrifying nightmares in which she was kidnapped and murdered by a stranger.

One morning, Cindy went to work as usual. She was in the office alone. She kept the door locked and there was a buzzer on her desk so that she could alert the shop next door if something was wrong.

At 10 AM, some clients called the office, but nobody answered the phone. When two lawyers arrived at the office around noon, Cindy was nowhere to be found.

The book she had been reading was open on her desk. It was a romance novel and the page that was open was a violent scene in which the heroine of the story was being abducted at knifepoint.

The lawyers called the police and a search was immediately begun. Everything in the office seemed to be in order. There were no signs of any struggle. Cindy’s car was parked outside, but her car keys and her purse were missing.

Were Cindy’s dreams actually a premonition of her terrible fate or were they just a coincidence? The day before she disappeared, Cindy got a strange phone call when she was in the office. She hung up really quickly and she had a look on her face like she was scared. She never told anyone what the phone call was about.

There was no body, no note, no hint of where she had gone or why she had disappeared. The money in her bank account was never touched. Cynthia Anderson was never seen again.
