I Will Kill You

I Will Kill You is a scary story about a young man who gets a phone call one night from his frightened girlfriend. It is based on a Japanese story that is supposedly true.

I Will Kill You

For the past few weeks, my girlfriend keeps telling me, “I’m so tired, but I can’t sleep at all.”

A few days ago, she said, “I’m exhausted. Every time I fall asleep, I have sleep paralysis. It feels like I’m awake, but I can’t move my body.”

Last night, around 11 PM, I got a strange phone call from my girlfriend.

“Come over here right now!” she cried. “Please!”

She sounded terrified. I tried to ask her what was wrong, but she wouldn’t explain.

“I’ll be there as soon as possible,” I said.

My girlfriend’s apartment is about a 10 minute drive from my house.

On the way, she called me again. This time, she was sobbing hysterically.

“Quickly!” she cried. “Please hurry! Please!”

“Calm down, I’m almost there,” I said.

“Don’t hang up!” she cried. “Stay on the phone with me until you get here!”

I tried to get her to explain what was going on. Did she have a bad dream? Was she in danger? She just kept sobbing and sobbing and wouldn’t tell me anything.

I stayed on the phone with her until I reached her apartment building.

My girlfriend lives on the 7th floor. With the phone held to my ear, I hurried through the entrance and pushed the button to call the elevator. I could still hear my girlfriend sobbing on the other end of the line.

When the elevator arrived, I got in and pushed the button for the 7th floor. As the door was closing, I turned around and saw something that shocked me.

The doors of the elevator had clear glass windows. Through the windows, I could see my girlfriend. She was just standing there staring at me with her cell phone held to her ear.

I assumed she had come down to meet me, so I pushed the button to open the doors. However, the elevator had already started to ascend, so the doors wouldn’t open.

A few seconds later, I was glad they didn’t open.

As the elevator passed the 2nd floor, I saw my girlfriend again. She was standing there on the 2nd floor, holding her cell phone to her ear and staring at me with empty eyes.

She was on the 3rd floor too, standing there with her eyes rolled back in her head.

I saw her on every floor as the elevator ascended and each time, there was a different expression on her face.

All the time, I could hear my girlfriend crying on the other end of the phone.

I couldn’t say a word. I was shaking with fear.

Whatever I was seeing, it wasn’t my girlfriend.

The elevator stopped at the 7th floor. To my surprise, there was nobody there. Breathing a sigh of relief, I got out and went to my girlfriend’s apartment. When she answered the door, she was still sobbing.

I finally got her to calm down and explain what was going on.

She told me that, the previous night, she had experienced another episode of sleep paralysis. She had awoken in the middle of the night to find her body paralyzed. She could open her eyes, but couldn’t move a muscle. There was a smiling woman standing beside her bed.

“I will kill you,” the woman said.

As soon as she said those words, the woman suddenly disappeared.

Then, that night, just before she called me, she had another strange experience.

She got into bed and turned off the light. Just as she was drifting off to sleep, she heard a woman’s voice. The sound of the voice echoed around the room.

It was saying, “I will kill your man. I will go over right now and kill him.”

When I heard that, I shuddered and a chill ran down my spine.

I spent the night in my girlfriend’s apartment.

In the morning, when I went home, I found deep scratch marks all over my front door.

A few hours ago, my girlfriend called me again. She had a very strange story to tell me.

She said that she had been walking down the street when a woman suddenly darted out in front of her. The woman was staring at her with a look of anger in her eyes. When my girlfriend walked past her, the woman clicked her tongue at her, “Tsk tsk tsk!”

I broke out into a cold sweat.

“Why us?” I thought. “What does this woman want with us?”

I think it could be an Ikiryō.

In Japan, an Ikiryō is a “living spirit”… basically a ghostly double or the ghost of a living person. If someone has a grudge against another person and if that grudge is strong enough, they say their soul can leave their body and appear in front of the victim to curse them or hurt them or even kill them. They can also possess another person and that person will be totally unaware that they are being possessed.

I think that’s what is happening with my girlfriend. The woman she saw has a grudge against her and wants to kill both of us. The woman is possessing my girlfriend and my girlfriend is totally unaware of it.

  • i use to get sleep paralysis once every 2-3 weeks but it stopped a couple of months ago. For anyone who doesn’t know what it’s like- from personal experience it’s the most terrifying sh!t ever. It’s always the same; Samara Morgan (from the ring movie) always runs up my stairs while i’m in my bed-stiff/paralysed. She comes and claws my skin and strangely always went for the sensitive areas (…) and when i tried to scream multiple times no sound came out my mouth. When i woke up (usually in a cold sweat from the back and head) my skin ALWAYS felt like it was touched by someone (you know like when someone tickles your armpits or touches you your skin) and that’s the creepy thing cause i always felt like it was real; maybe it was :L

  • Well I could be such a living ghost so I could teach all the people I have a grudge against a lesson. Thanks for the idea,ummm…..Japanese boyfriend? ?

  • Then why can’t the woman’s spirit just kill them both and get it over with? Why is she appearing everywhere and threatening her gf? She’s a sprit right ! Well i think they shouldn’t be afraid of her lol. Ghosts these days😂

  • Concept was really cool. So if he had pulled down in any of the floors leaving 7th then he would have been killed. Still creepy.
