Three Wishes is a spooky little story about an old man who encounters an old hag that grants him 3 wishes.
An elderly man was sitting alone on a dark path. He wasn’t sure of which direction to go, and he’d forgotten both where he was traveling to. He also couldn’t remember who he was.
He sat down for a moment to rest his weary legs, and suddenly looked up to see an elderly woman before him. Her skin was wrinkled and grey and her nose was crooked. Warts covered her hairy chin.
She grinned toothlessly and said with a cackle, “Now your third wish. What will it be?”
“Third wish?” The man was baffled. “How can it be three wishes if I haven’t had a first and second wish?”
“You’ve had two wishes already,” the old hag said, “but your second wish was for me to return everything to the way it was before you had made your first wish. That’s why you remember nothing; because everything is the way it was before you made any wishes.” She cackled at the poor man. “So it is that you have one wish left.”
“All right,” he said hesitantly, “I don’t believe this, but there’s no harm in trying. I wish to know who I am.”
“Funny,” said the old woman as she granted his wish and disappeared forever. “That was your first wish…”
for some reason, i felt weird while reading this – nauseous (i didn’t see the pic if that helped) like this had happened to me (but it didn’t!), and scared. i felt like this was going to happen to me (again, if the deja vu was correct)…is this part of psychic ability???

ok, here is a EVEN SIMPLER explanation for you idiots:
Lets say the guy’s name is Bob and his wife which he loved very much divorced him. Then he got amnesia and lost all his memory.
1.The witch comes along and give him 3 wishes
2. Bob asks to regain his memory because he got amnesia
3. The witch grants the wish
4. Bob remembers that his loving wife divorced him, and he gets really sad
5. Bob wishes to forget it happened because it was so sad
6. The witch grants it and he forgets again
7. Bob asks for his memory again because he forgot he asked for the first 2 wishes.
THERE. Simple enough?

Sushi, you’d need an IQ of 4 to not figure it out. Whoever he was had gone through something terrible. He lost him memory. Wished to remember. Hated it. Wished to forget. Then wished to know again because he had no idea that was a bad thing.
i get it… it means that before he wished his first wish, he had no idea who he was. the witch person offered him 3 wishes, and the man said to remember who he was. the witch granted it and he remembered who he was, probably like some crazy murderer or some other unhonorable position. he didn’t want to accept who he was, so he wished to forget who he was. then, he once again forgot who he was, and asked for his memories back again.
tl;dr basiclly, he forgot who he was before his first wish, and wished for his memory, and regained his memory, but he coudn’t accept who he was, so he asked to forget who he was, and so he forgot everything and asked for he memory again.

It’s about someone who has forgotten themselves but when they know who they are they don’t like it. It’s about irony. It’s not supposed to be particularly scary. Stories would get boring if you were all about ghosts. You don’t need to be a genius to understand this, its not complicated at all. In fact, someone with an IQ of 10 could probably understand this. So if you don’t understand it then you probably aren’t as smart as you think
